Ӝ Vilyehm Valka, vampire extraordinaire, has come to Dr. Dark’s island to interview him over a job. One much needed by the hidden vampire empire to come in the open again, not since Parthia. Dr. Dark has seen that the diminutive vampire is an ancient yet vital blood sucker powerful and yet still has a grasp of human action that is astounding. Just some makeup and a hair piece and he he could pass for human—-mostly. Valka uses the misapprehension of him as a weakness. By the time his enemies understand they are feeding him their life’s blood. However Dr. Dark is no normal mortal——even to extending his life without becoming non-human or use of alchemy. (He could tell by merely smelling him.)
He asks the human how he accomplishes this.
“I can see into my own body, to look at every cell all 3 trillion of them and affect them in ways that won’t kill me.” He laughed just a bit, unusual for him. A real stoic. He continued as they sat, “It happened over a thousand years ago when I as the Black Knight, the real one some called Mordoc, I was stabbed fatally but did not die. That is I refused to die and repaired myself then and in so doing learning things I had no language for in the mean time I saw I was destined for far greater things than a mere knight or even king. So that is what occupies most of my time along with a dozen or more projects in process…”
Leaning forward, Ӝ Vilyehm Valka gave Dr. Dark some information he doesn’t have, “the Red Court has given me full powers to make the deal that will get you not only on our side, but to have anything you want or need to do your business. Whatever people and riches you need to purchase or manufacture we will accommodate you.”
And that was the offer Dr. Dark had to ponder since he really needs to set up factories to get his equipment to build his devices. He has an uncanny ability to read sincerity. “Yes.”
