After traveling over a thousand nautical miles on hydrofoil mode he slows down to minimum headway after easing back into the water, the hydrofoils folded back into his submarine and he concentrated on locating his defenses. he did see several wrecks where some ships strayed into his waters and were blasted. Only he knew where the shallows were and the deeper part he could safely travel. His hydrophone and echolocation built up a map he compared with his paper copy. No doubt if someones navy ship should be so equipped they could land or more yet take a helicopter and just fly over the high rocks that encircle his home and hides his castle. First thing to his grotto where it can service his submarine which no doubt needs an overhaul. It was sluggish at times because it had been such a long time under water. He awakened just in time though. Good thing the Russian and USA navies didn’t bring underwater demolition units to blow his hull and make sure he was dead. They should read and heed their Lo Tzu on that.
His servants both made of metal and those of flesh should still be there.
