This guy Danziger seems to have a pblm w/ southerners. I was kinda wondering, why would Sessions’ own colleagues give him such a hard time. Then I heard his Southern accent & thought, Oh, that’s it. Lib snob elites can be truly deplorable.
Alabama, along with Mississippi are among the poorest, least educated, most culturally backwards states in the US. As with most red states, they take far more federal dollars from the Treasury than they contribute in taxes. They know that the worldly and educated look down on them, and they keenly feel the contempt most of the country has for their southern “culture.” So this toon, while accurate in many ways, is also painful for Alabamans to stomach. Understandably. So what?
TWCKIX has the right perspective. The sassy Trumpeteers are just silly. I live among the people depicted in the cartoon, but some of them drive better trucks.
