Bird bones are bad for you Biscuit.

My neighbour’s boyfriend let her dog munch on some chicken bones. 3 four hour weekend trips to a vet and nearly a $1000 later…………..

This happened in “Buckles” this week, Paul removed the leash and he zipped, and now he’s freezing outside. I hope that will teach him his lesson.

Yep, that’s why it’s best to keep dogs on the leash. No matter how well trained they are, they still aren’t robots and can be easily distracted. If anything, think of the poor person who could hit your dog with their car. What an extremely awful thing to live with! That or your dog runs up to a dog that’s on a leash, but is dog agressive or startled and bites your dog. Who’s fault is it? Yours! Your dog runs up to someone scared of dogs or accidentally knocks over an elderly person or small child. Off leash only on dog parks, your fenced in yard, or somewhere far away from cars and no chance of disturbing others who didn’t ask for it. Ah sorry, was a dog training instructor and this is a HUGE pet peeve of mine!

You also need to be on the lookout and ready to distract your dog from things like that squirrel halfway down the street. A medium-to-large dog who goes zero to 60 could sprain your wrist or even yank you of your feet!

Alix you made a mistake keep Biscuit on leash. We have three Golden Retriever’s. 1. oldest interested in food and meeting people to cat or dogs. 2. middle boy not socialized to others if someone new comes starts barking yet will not stray from what we call big sister (not related). The oldest would be okay off leash the 2nd will not leave oldest female along, 3rd the youngest female outside stays on leash or will run. When we are outside with all three dogs are on leash.

And at this time of year a dog could chase a bird that is out on thin ice.

White AJ, if I reply to you you won’t see it, read my reply to Dean. Wait, i will repost here…

This is Sunday’s strip. They are still tinkering with it, part of it being filtering out comics that were not updated. This strip will be here presumably until next Sunday.
