Check his right-hand desk drawer. He hid it in there.

This is a true story. I worked for this company for over 23 years, and from about year 2 until year 20 I had the same really good quality, strong, durable, rarely jammed, stapler. I got very sick and basically lost about a month of my life being too exhausted to move. When I got back into the office, part-time for the first week or two, someone had made off with my stapler It was not in an office within the same building as I was, but any employee would have had routine access to my office in the course of being in that building to see any of the other people who worked there. They purloined my stapler and left me a crappy one in its place. I dumped that one as soon as I could. I was not happy.

My brother worked for Health and Human Services for Florida. One day an ergonomically designed chair arrived at the office. No one had apparently ordered it. One person laid claim to it. Another argued she should have it. When the one that first claimed went to lunch the other person rolled it down the aisle to her office. When the woman went to the bathroom, the other guy hauled it back to his office. My bother said it went on for days. They would skip lunch and avoid the bathroom all for the sake of hanging on to the chair.

What’s with the little bubbles coming up from the alleged stapler thief in P1? Are those supposed to signify something, like he’s sleepy or drunk? Which would not make sense, so I assume not.
