Just about right. I remember living in LA County for a few years when I was a teenager. There were days you couldn’t see more than 1/2 mile. People with lung issues were sometimes warned to stay indoors and some even died from the smog. Now the the EPA will be run by a guy who want to give the entire country that kind of air.
Lyman: in the early 60’s lived on a hill overlooking the LA basin, early morning you could see every refinery with the orange plume rising, then the smog from traffic would obliterate. When we came back from ’Nam in 67, the pilot announced they were switching to instrument flight as they approached LA because the smog was too thick to fly into LAX on visual rules. Yes NIXON, NEPA and other laws cleared that up considerably, as well as our waterways that were often burning at the time due to the pollution.
Yes, that nasty NEPA and EPA that reduced pollution, saving literally millions of lives. Let me know when Trump and his buddies can breath and drink money earned from their radical profits, from killing the rest of the planet.
I’ve never understood how my fellow conservatives could be against the EPA mission. If a neighbor pollutes the water running into your land it is theft.
The same goes for your air, your radio spectrum or your groundwater.
Conservatism as I was raised to understand it is to defend each other’s right to swing their arms about as they please unless they hit your nose.
ZomVee89: I wouldn’t recommend staying in a room with a 100% CO2 atmosphere, or near that. Think fire extinguisher and the effects of CO2 on oxydation.

So, we’re going to live in domes and we’ll pay through the nose for things like clean air dispensers and breathing masks…?

That is one of the scariest “cartoons” I’ve seen in awhile and I hope it is published in every newspaper on the planet.

So… What’s the over/under (in months) before the Cuyahoga river catches fire?
