And Ted gets the philanderer of the year award. What do women see in him anyway? He’s not even handsome to offset his other disgusting qualities.

Melania was the other woman; I wonder when she’ll be ex #3.

He was just born into the wrong century and country. That is what some men do fly from flower to flower depositing their pollen into various women. He isn’t interested in real emotional relationships. He is a bed hopper.

This storyline rings a strong mental bell. I think I was reading the strip in the local paper when it originally ran.

Looks like everyone is missing the point of the strip. Still beating on “poor ole” Ted. Irene left him because he found a new her (other woman). Seems to me Irene should have figured it out before deciding to play house with Ted.

As Charles said, “I’m not going to be the first Prince of Wales to have no mistress.”

Lynn’s Notes: I realized the importance of attention to detail. The original strip was a mistake on my part, where the fourth panel had Connie saying “When I was engaged to Ted, Irene was the other woman”. Connie was never engaged to Ted. He asked her to marry him prior to her move to Thunder Bay, but she declined.

Well, they have announced they will not be living together unless the Supreme Kleptarch can get the capitol to move to his New York holdings.

No, it was because she got an Oscar and he knew he never would. He thought it hilarious to say “I am going to name Johnny Belinda [the movie she won best actress in] as corespondent” and repeated it until everyone was disgusted and he had to go into politics to make any money. Like you, he wouldn’t have recognized socialism if he met it, thinking it were something like communism because that is what the communists said.

SPOILER ALERTAccording to his bio at the FBOFW website, Ted did eventually grow up. He decided to celebrate his 50th birthday at a tropical resort for “hot, young singles.” The first girl he tried to pick up not only turned him down, she told him he was older than her father, and started telling other people in the bar about the “creepy old man.” When he got home, he threw himself into updating his medical practice and went to a therapist. He’s stopped cruising bars and was dating a retired school principal, also divorced. They take vacations together but don’t plan to marry, both are “been there, done that, don’t want to go there again.” Ted still lives in the house he shared with his mother until she passed away.

I have to laugh at women who Knowingly date married men hoping to marry them. Do they really thing that they are the one who he will be true to? Give me a break, old dogs do not change, and old female dogs don’t either.

I don’t feel a need to dump on guys like Ted,or woman like Ted for that matter.Time catches up to them in the end,and they usually live out their lives alone and unhappy. Our neighbour where I grew up was a philanderer and heavy drinkerHis wife knew it but chose to live with it until the kids grew up and moved out. Then she left him,and within a few years he died of cancer and alcoholism. I just don’t understand why people who want to sleep around get married in the first place. Its like the Neil Young song I guess( a man needs a maid)

Regarding Irene being the “other women” when he was dating Connie, remember it was DATING. Ted and Connie were not married. They were not engaged, since Ted didn’t want to commit. Connie may have viewed it as cheating, but Ted clearly viewed it as all right to date two women at once. The difference with being engaged or married is you have chosen to commit to this one person, so you shouldn’t be running around on them. SPOILER ALERT: Years from now Elizabeth caught her live-in Eric in another girl’s apartment. Other girls proceeds to demand “Eric, have you been cheating on ME?” She apparently knew he and Elizabeth shared an apartment, but hr had convinced her, since it was a two-bedroom place, that they were only roommates.

If he ran around with you while married to her, he’ll run around with someone else while married to you. That’s how it works.

A few years ago, historians got together and claimed that they were certain that only three presidents never had sex outside of marriage, another handful were uncertain either way. None of the three were Republicans. In this day of false news, we will never know if a fourth has been added to the list.
