On my recent cruise, I saw a small yorkie stick it’s head out of it’s owner’s hand bag. Saw it two more times during the five day trip.

Technically, it should only be proper service dogs that perform legitimate service for their handler. “Emotional Support” doesn’t count, or shouldn’t. But unfortunately, most businesses are too spineless to enforce the proper rules because they are so afraid of lawsuits. Properly trained dogs follow the rules (don’t bark, except to alert; tuck themselves out of sight; only do their business on command in the proper area; don’t eat off the table in the main dining room etc;)

So where are the dogs going to do their business if the walk is shipboard?

One of the great little instrumental pieces by George Gershwin is double-titled Promenade, or Walking the Dog. It was for a movie involving shipboard events.
