Democratic leadership in Congress have extra incentive to stand up to Republicans instead of rolling over and waiting until they get back in power, like Nancy Pelosi used to advocate.

While the Republicans take us back to the 20th, (or 19th) Century, Ford is moving into it’s new Trillion Dollar facility in Mexico to build hybrid and all electric vehicles for the rest of the world, including India and China, so much for Trumps tariffs to keep production in America.… and China’s moving ahead with massive Solar and Wind farms..The Netherlands are harnessing the Ocean using wave powered pistons in huge power plants along with their wind farms. Germany has been leading in Solar for over a decade.Meanwhile, Trump’s America, welcome to 3rd world status with your so-called “clean coal”, and fracking for oil.… and all along the Kochs have been investing in all those other technologies in other countries – SUCKERS!

For eight years, Obama worked at digging us out of the Bush hole, while the GOP and its elves threw dirt back in. No doubt the Dems will eventually have to get us all back out, and because it will involve taxation, the GOP will get back in again after that.

Never underestimate the shear stupidity of the American voter. Proud, but ignorant and proud of that.

The problem with a 2 party system is that too many are left behind in our current polarized era. The moderate, common good is not even considered as superposition of ideologies is abandoned in favor of opposition … checks and no balances.

If the Republicans really want to heal the divide they would start by voting on the supreme court justice. Until then they are asking democrats to do something they themselves are not willing to do. When will the Republicans ever take responsibility? It will be four years of them in charge whining about the Democrats and screwing things up.

Do I recall correctly that someone once said: “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”..

And it was not a Democrat, I believe…..

“Armed revolt”? Sure you didn’t jump the gun on Republican plans? Throughout the campaign, Republicans have described themselves and labeled it “Democrat”. Democrats have not mentioned, much less advocated, armed revolution, but Republican supporters (NRA, KKK, etc.) have for years. Is it now the Republican policy to enforce the abolition of the Constitution – particularly the first, fourth, fifth, and eighth amendments – with Brownshirt-style goons? Remember Article III, Section 3. Major segments of the new Republican party are levying war against the United States and have been for ages. No significant part of the Democratic and Green Parties have, nor have any official parts of the Libertarian.
