We just went through our annual sign up for benefits at work. Our premiums went up and so did the deductible. For a family it went from $10,000 to 11,500. I analyzed the payout and as of 31 October my family Obamacare equivalent Healthcare plan has cost $15,870. My employer has picked up nearly 85% of that. That is 1,587 per month for insurance that currently has a $10,000 deductible. How is that affordable? .As I’ve said before, I am still paying $188/month for my wife’s gall bladder surgery last year and will continue paying through next year. We have another event under this “affordable care” insurance and we’re sunk. .For this reason I have opted out of this garbage and we will use Samaritan Ministries Healthcare. A rated by the BBB and of those I know that have it, after they negotiate their deductions with the doctor (since they paid cash) ALL their doctor bills have been satisfied through the plan. But even if you have to pay the Samaritan deductible, $300/incident is a lot cheaper than $11,500 per family.
