Oh, how much I love to read this comic about these little ten cats and your comments. But today in the morning I am so sad because I have heard about the loss of Leonard Cohen, a great singer and songwriter, whose music accompanied me since I am a young woman. I hope you are not bothered, but I have to tell you my sad feelings and I know you will understand and not be angry with me. Thank you for listen to me. While typing these words I am just listening to his last CD “You want it darker” – with songs which are full of Leonard Cohen’s feeling that death is near.

Happy – I just read about your client. I am so, so sorry. I know you made his last days better just by being you. You are a good person who does really good things in this world.

As far as the comic, I sure hope Oliver comes out of this okay. We can’t take any more sadness right now.

From yesterday – so sorry Happy x3 about your client. But I’m happyx3 that you were able to bring him some pleasure in hid last days.

From yesterday – Thank you MCTS – I was hoping that I could download something once I get Internet. I’m getting close to getting it now – I just checked outside my house and all the underground wires (gas, electric and the cable going to the neighbor’s house) have been marked off and cable lines marked to my house even though I did not see the Telltale orange wire the cable installer told me to look for. I had no idea Office 4.0.1 was that old. I have had trouble with it in the past, too. What is the newer version? Do you think it would work on my old documents? I’m upset enough at “losing” my journal with this glitch. An even more important document is the kids’ book I wrote. It’s for kids around 8-12 years old or so, about a girl much like I was who is bullied by some mean girls and how she copes (much better than I did). She also daydreams a lot (like I did), even in school (like I did). I’ve been working on this book a very long time (several years) and think it is very near trying to get it published. I can’t lose it now!A friend did tell me to be sure to install anti-virus protection. like Norton or McGafee. A large part of why I did not get Internet sooner is fear of viruses and stuff, but now I’ve been doing this at the library for about a year and I’m hooked and I need more! I must have it at home!

It’s 10:30 AM Central time right now, so I knew I would not be the first to say this, but it is Verteran’s Day and I want to add my thanks to all our vets and all those currently in the military for their service to our country. You are very much appreciated every day of the year, not just on this day. Thank you for having our backs!

I am the ONLY one so far on my block to be flying my flag to thank past and present veterans for their service and sacrifice. Hoping to see many more flags later.

Marge…thank you for sharing your thoughts. I do not know of Leonard Cohen but Mark told me about him earlier today. Perhaps I will hear one of his songs and recognize it. Never apologize to your friends here at Ten Cats for relating a sad thought…we are a close clan and as such stick together.

How you know Leonard Cohen songs depends a lot on your age and what the radio was playing. For me the earworms are Suzanne (also done by Judy or Joni, can’t be sure right now), Sisters of Mercy, So Long Marianne, and Hey, that’s no way to say goodbye.

For those of you who don’t remember him, if you search on youtube I think you will say, Oh, of course!

I am so sorry to hear about your client. I know you are a caring and giving person and I feel for you in your sorrow in losing him. My thoughts are with you to help comfort you.

So I have been listening to Leonard Cohen all afternoon and I want to shoot myself. Take this in smaller doses!

I recovered by listening to Dave Goodman and John Prine. While John’s story always saddens me, he never lost his cheerful approach.

I’m having to type posts with one hand right now as I have a sleeping fluffy orange kitten in the other. Peanut is the last of my cousin’s seven fosters. The other six have found homes but he was too small at the time to go out for adoption. She told me he will be going back to the shelter to be adopted out next Friday. I’m leaving to go back to the UK next Thursday. I’ll miss the little guy, he’s so energetic, but so gentle – and so adorable!

Graham – I love the last few days of Ten Cats and I just had hub read each one, he laughed out loud at each. Great job Mr. H. Ten Cats is my daily favorite.

Happy – I just checked yesterday’s post, I’m sorry for your loss. Take comfort in the knowledge that you helped him and made his last days lots better than they would have been without you.

I have discovered that the biggest hazard in this job is becoming friends with the people that you care for.

Its imposable NOT to, if you truly care.

I got a glimps of that when my first little old lady died.

Hurts. But I’m richer having known them, i think.
