I’m sorry, but I (someone from the Walkman age) know not what an Iroc Z-28 is.

    TEMPLO S.U.D.

In the early 70’s there was a circuit (race) know as the International Race of Champions, IROC. Professional drivers from different racing disciplines would compete against each other all driving the same type of car. The first car used was a Porsche 911. Eventually they switched to a Chevrolet Z28 as it was less expensive to run. Chevy released a IROC Z28 model for sale to the public shortly after that.

You are talking to someone who still calls the refrigerator an “ice box” and the laundry room the “back porch”.

I test drove an IROC Z-28 back in 1988, and bought a Trans Am GTA instead. Much nicer and more civilized car…
