Algebra! Yup! Works for me too. I guess my wishing is a bit more sophisticated than theirs- I don’t want to be young again, I want to be YOUTHFUL and also have the smarts and maturity I have accumulated over the years.

Did anyone get the answer to question 6 and what was the value of X on the 7th equation?

Acne? Junior high (Middle school) wasn’t too great. Remember though that growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional.

Oh, don’t get me started about algebra. It’s a myth that you don’t need it after high school. You need it to understand spreadsheets. You need it to understand escrow. If you truly understand algebra, you will use it … .

Like I said, don’t get me started about algebra.

I would have said “gym class.” Gang showers and puberty are a terrible combination. Especially if your glands were, shall we say, taking their own sweet time coming on-line…

I loved Algebra still use it. I do algebra problems for relaxation! You can’t think of anything else while your working through a quadratic equation!

I really regret not using algebra anymore, except on rare occasions. I loved it. I never met a math class I didn’t like, or ace. Thing is, I’ve gotten so distracted by the humanities that I barely have time for the sciences anymore.

This quote apparently wasn’t original with Berkeley Breathed or his Bloom County, but it’s always worked for me:

”It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.”

I took Algebra 3 times before I passed it. The first time they gave it to me it was early on as an “honor” because I was so good in math. Mathematically things proceeded downhill from there.

Basic algebra was easy. (I still apply the concept, and occasionally the actual math, to many things). But I quickly got lost as we advanced.

I would rather parse a compound sentence than any kind of math ANY DAY.

Yes, I remember trigonometry. I liked that too, but analytical geometry was way cooler.

I’m with puddleglum1066: I would have said “gym class.”

And screamingdolai said, about 4 classes ago

I would rather parse a compound sentence than any kind of math ANY DAY.

Why pick one or the other? I enjoyed both!

I love math, but I abhor P.E. (difficult, probably due to lack of discipline) and English (good at it, but it’s WAY more fun without having to show output modality.).
