It would have been more apt if the cartoon showed T-Rump, stomping the woman (truth) into the ground. He has been doing that all his life and it has worked for him. He was able to make all his money conning people now he is conning some into voting for him as well.

They’re hoping to make things as bad for everyone as they’ve been for them. Because they made bad choices for themselves, they now think they should get to make one for us.

We survived the civil war. Maybe Trump wouldn’t do much more damage than that? Maybe?

OldCoalYou scrambled the order of the French motto. It is chronological. First you need freedom to do anything. We got that, although we are barely holding on to it. Next comes equality. We were working on that with some success, until one of those founders’ unmentionable political parties decided to destroy the country rather than work with what they consider “inferior races”. As for brotherhood, we only managed that in isolated and mostly temporary situations. They also tend to be bigoted against anything French, including de Grasse’ blockade and Lafayette’s soldiers that saved our infant nation. (To say nothing about “Polish jokes” in spite of Polaski’s and Kosciuszko’ s in the founding of this nation.)

If you have seen the classic silent film “Hypocrites” you know Truth is supposed to be naked. They could portray her that way in a century-old movie, but not in modern editorial cartoons. The nearest to nudity permitted there is bald-faced lies.
