I got from Arnold Palmer to just be yourself and play your game. I would expect sportsmen to first be themselves and play their game. Sports figures etc. are NOT heroes… they are idols but they are not and never will be heroes. A hero is a soldier, fireman police officer, someone who does a heroic thing etc. Not hit a ball. Arnie was a great golfer but he was not a hero.

Arnie was a good guy, and built golf, and some really fine courses.
