Wes… this is the arc that was left unfinished, when Paige became too busy with her day job to write new material for this strip.
For almost four years of flashbacks and re-runs…everybody’s been waiting to get back to here,often complaining vociferously that they need to see what happens next.And yeah, the arc you like was interspersed with it back then, and probably will be again…but it’s this 60’s story and a new character in it that everyone has been asking for.But you’re bored with it.LOLI guess you can’t please everybody!
BTW… right now, it’s still a repeat….in a few weeks or months, we get to see whether it progresses or starts recycling again…
When that happens depends on whether all the old strips are run and now long that takes now that they’re posted daily.
49 years ago when the summer of love was happening in 1967, no state had legalized anything. In fact Roe V Wade was still 6 years in the future. When this storyline originally ran, Colorado had not yet legalized pot.BTW, we were so naive back then. We thought tricky dick nixon was the worst, and he was bad. Little did we know what unimaginable horrors the future held. I’m 70 and witnessed a lot.
I live in Colorado, Pueblo no less, about two miles from where it all started, lived here for ten years, watched everything change. I’m 72 and my brain is scrambled, but not from drugs. Used to go to the Haight all the time in the 60’s, had every opportunity, never did, never will. Pot is destroying the life here, high crime rate, greedy crooked politicians, burgeoning homeless population here for the pot, blight increasing daily. People here finally figured out why, and are voting in Nov to reverse the law. We’re getting out of here before the property values crash. DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOUR TOWN!
