“Let me have your credit card number and I’ll get this consolidation loan started immediately.” Years ago I spent ten minutes talking with someone that called trying to get me interested in a consolidation loan. He new what bank accounts I had (not the account #) and the amounts I owed. Was he ever pissed when I refused to give him any account number! That’s when I realized I was being scammed.
