that’s the whole prob with news media nowadays, they just can’t ignore a whackjob when they see one. otherwise, they’d have nothing to report.

television (and web) reporting is available on what we in USA call Entertainment Media. television is not information supply, itś an entertainment media. Live at 5! mass suicide of pigmy elephants! if you were informing me, tell me NOW. waiting till the evening isnt info, its a teaser for your show…. and if even the news doesnt entertain us, we channel check to something even more unbelievable, but entertaining (once in awhile)…such as CNN.

That’s a bad side of democracy and total freedom of press (even the best things have bad sides); If someone is willing to report a story and show images and someone is willing to listen, then it gets whatever attention it can get.

But unfortunately, what you want is rarely what you need. People want to hear about Paris Hilton, teenagers pouring vodka in their eyes (where is natural selection when you need it?), Tiger Woods, some more Paris Hilton…Michael Jackson not dead…

But do they need to hear about that? I mean, will the World be a worst place if they don’t hear about Lindsay Lohan’s panties?

La liberté d’expression, c’est une calisse de bonne affaire Encore faut savoir quoi en faire

(Freedon of speech is a f*cking good thing You still have to know what to do with it)

(I don’t know who sang this, but it’s in the song at the end of Quebec movie Elvis Gratton 3, directed by the great late Pierre Falardeau)

(BTW, Google “Bob Gratton”. He’s Canada’s answer to Neocon Man)

    I’ll burn all Harry Potter!

I’m ever so sick of hearing about it!

    Hmmm….Daniel Radcliffe is hunky, though.
