I remember when I was a kid in the 1960s, that older people would moan about the war demonstrators and “hippies” that if they didn’t like the way things were run in this country, they should just go live in Russia. And to wear shoes and take a bath — and, Young Man, get that hair cut! You look like a girl!.Ah, memories….
“I salute Kaepernick.”Really? Are you serious? I’m surprised but elated to read you actually have some compassion for the plight of others. It’s just not your ideology’s M.O. that’s why I’m surprised.
So Mikey here thinks that we should do things like they do in North Korea? Why doesn’t he move there if he likes it so much? We have free speech here so I’ll go with that.
So you would rather live in a country where you execute people for not standing up for a song? I thought this was the land of the free. Free except you have to do what we tell you. I thought this was the home of the brave. It is not very brave to hide behind your pen and computer and talk about kicking and killing and putting someone in his place. It is brave to take a seat because of a terrible injustice, he has the freedom to not stand. You have the same freedoms to get your panties in a bunch because someone didn’t stand up, while not blinking an eye at police executions of black people.
So with an abhorrence of violence being meted out upon someone for failing to comply, the response is to mete out violence for failing to comply?
Let me make sure you get it…
So you don’t like violence for not sitting up, so you create an artwork subject that travels miles to violate someone for not standing up. You don’t see the problem with that AND you expect to get paid for it.
Papasan173; welcome home, brother, rational statement. BTW; I attended a number of rallies after getting back from ‘Nam, and out of the Army in early ’69. I informed people of what was really happening in ’Nam, so they had a base of facts to judge from. It’s also important that Nixon/Kissinger ran that war longer than LBJ, and I didn’t like either of them at the time.
At the same time, LBJ lost southern Democrats with the Civil Rights act, which we’re still working on implementing in many areas, thus the validity of the “sit down” by a mulato raised as an adoptee in a white household. He’s seen more from more sides of reality than anyone protesting his actions.
“The character who traveled far to kick Kaepernick’s butt is the ubiquitous citizen turned capo who beats his fellow citizens to save his own neck. "Surprisingly enough, I agree 100%.
PS- You forgot to refer to the kids, as “thugs”.I didn’t forget anything. Who does what and who is held accountable are two different things. Sometimes, thugs wear badges. Or uniforms.
Well, as long as the criminals are slightly worse than the police, I guess there’s no need to give it any more thought. We should stop inconveniencing the police with these brief suspensions, or they’ll stop helping old white ladies and baby ducks.

Agree with Mike for a change, if he’s saying the phony “patriot” jerks are idiots who would make great nationalists of the “great leader”.

On the other hand, NK would execute Lester. Sometimes, you have to just go along.

Worship is dead on. Tiny minds confuse any ritual with religion and suspect anyone who isn’t reciting the exact same gibberish they are.
