In St Louis, it’s okra. This time of year everybody and their mother has tons of okra.

I don’t think the rabbits want it either. Otherwise, Charlie wouldn’t be trying to dump it on their worst enemy.

    Good morning, Crew!

It’s amazing what happens overnight………go to bed with a few little zucchinis popping up and in the morning a forest of them. Very fertile. Might set a camera one year and take a picture overnight.

Because zucchini is about the same as squash, and squash is disgusting.

Why do people plant zucchinni? And does okra just grow wild in St Louis? If not, why do people plant it if nobody wants it? (I think it’s one of the most disgusting vegetables out there. My ex husband loved it and I learned to fry it back in 1970. YUCK)

Zucchinni is a squash, and since I love squash, i love zucchini. Yes, many people plant far too much of it, however. My mother always did, and had lots of things she made from it, including cold zucchini soup. It makes me sad thinking about it, i haven’t had any for many, many years. (She passed away in 1985).

Silly pirate… you’re supposed to have a layer of gems disguising the trap beneath. Or in this case, a layer of tomatoes above the zucchinni.

We bought some zucchini accidentally since someone had replaced the tag with a watermelon tag. It was when those funny looking “watermelons” showed up I discovered the switch. It was also then that I realized there should be no hunger in the world since about 10 acres could feed the planet.

Down here the gardens have been dried up and done for six weeks. It gets too hot in late July and August to keep things growing, plus the bugs and borers come out.

A number of years ago a guy at work said he wanted 12 zucchinis, so he planted 12 zucchini plants. He was not a very popular guy that year.
