He spells it “Weiner,” and he pronounces it “weener,” but the correct (German) pronunciation is “wyner.” To get “weener,” you would need to spell it “wiener.”

The guy IS a jerk, but let the “puritans” speak to Denny Hastert. Going after idiots who post on the web, sometimes putting porn out and getting 25 to life when a REAL rapist gets five to seven years, plus probation, may be another test of our societal insanity?

A very important thing to remember:The Government Accountability Institute, the outfit that uncovered Weiner’s Tweets is funded and managed by the man who is now Donald Trump’s campaign manager.[]http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/37402-don-t-underestimate-how-much-steve-bannon-can-damage-hillary-clinton

I sort of live in Vienna. What Americans call wieners are called Frankfurters here. In Frankfurt they are called…wieners…shrugThis Weiner dude, no idea.

My first German textbook explained the difference between ‘heißen’ and ‘wesen’ — the first means ‘is’ in the sense of ‘is called thus-and-such,’ and the second means ‘is’ in the sense of who or what you are..The example it gave:“Er heißt Oskar Meyer.” (His name is Oskar Meyer.)“Er ist Wiener.” (He is from Vienna.)
