I had easy, cheap aircraft access from near my home to anywhere in the world. Reagan came along, and it all went away with deregulation- and prices DID go up, if you didn’t live in one of six “hub” cities in the nation. (Well then there’s the fact they stopped flying into almost anywhere else.)
Reagan pretty well destroyed our air travel system, and put a lot of people at risk with his macho anti-union act against people who have one of the toughest jobs there is - air traffic controllers. We were still struggling to catch up on trained staff years later. Reagan also sat on the money set aside to upgrade our circa 1960s ATC system to make his massive deficits look slightly better.
I always refer to National Airport as National. If they close that airport, I will call it by its new name, because then it will be appropriate.

Re-regulate these people already! 9/11 happened almost 9 years ago!

Those chairs look a lot more comfortable than the chairs in coach. They should get a refund for not getting a beverage service though.
