The funds they raise help to support ALL the Programs they broadcast, and they show a Lot of worthwhile shows/documentaries/movies/educational programs/crafts/cooking/how to/history/ Etc. not just concerts which I agree are pretty chopped up by the fund raising. But it is worth it as PBS can be the only thing on TV worth watching a LOT of the time.
