Theatre, they’re calling for political theatre. Makes all the difference, seeming to do stuff rather than actually doing stuff. Much like demagogues claiming they’ll do ‘stuff’ rather than explaining the practical side of doing ‘stuff’.
Wake up people. They are talking about the HIPOCRISSY of the media who excoriated and blamed Bush for hurricane Katrina while not saying one word about Obama in the same type of situation.
Bush appointed “Brownie”. Brownie got right to work by using his govt credit card to splurge on expensive meals and a 4 star hotel. He was less interested in Katrina recovery. That is why Bush was a disaster, much like Katrina. 9000 died under his watch and Rudy doesn’t even remember 9/11 or the wars!
The GOP defends Bush as saying that the logistics of a POTUS tour would be disruptive. Now they’re upset that he didn’t do a photo op. When will he stop trying to get us to prepare for disaster and start showing up with a bullhorn to zoom in and make important noises on top of a pile of body-strewn rubble? You know, like a LEADER would.
Bush gave the FEMA director job to an incompetent crony. So he HAD to go – more as an apology tour. And even after he got there, it was still a cluster flup of an operation.
Bush’s photo op was more of an apology tour for foisting Michael (give my friend a high paying gubment job) Brown on us. As far as this tempest it’s just another RWNJ “anything Obama does is bad” hack piece.
Remember that Katrina speech Bush gave from Jackson square? Truckloads of props and floodlights, hundreds of media, security, technicians. Just what’s needed now….
Bush went for the photo op, even though all his people screwed up totally, before and after Katrina, Afghanistan, Iraq, and pretty much everywhere.
Obama doesn’t believe in doing the photo ops that only distract, the media, and his people who are doing a pretty good job. Micro-managing field operations btw is NOT the job of the commander in Chief, even for Bush. W just failed all around.
Good news for flooding victims! Donald Trump flew in, tied up logistics and made a media circus so he could hand out six (6) boxes of food for the cameras and then split..Thank you, God, for this saint among men! Give HIM the button!
Cartoonists have been attacking every president since IKE for playing golf or some other recreation. Thank god we have an alert press that understands a president should never have any down time or relaxation. They seem to especially love critiquing a black one who has taken less vacation than any of the last 6.

Of course the governor is satisfied. Got to defend the party boss!
Talk to the people who have lost everything in the floods and see if they are satisfied with the federal response.

Was Lester aware of Gov. Edwards comments regarding “photo op seekers?”
