Trump is the authentic face of the Republican party. He is Ryan and McConnell and Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh and Hannity and Fox News and the confederate flag and the NRA . If they could look into a mirror and truly see their real reflection, they would see Donald Trump. They would see the face of those who vowed to destroy the administration of a popularly elected president in a time of looming economic disaster for the country and world, a disaster they brought on. They’ve been moving towards this for a generation, since Nixon figured out the southern strategy, since Goldwater said “extremism in the pursuit of liberty is not a vice.” What was once the John Birch Society, the lunatic fringe who thought that Eisenhower was a communist is now the Republican party. They stand for putting people back in their places. N*****s and women and gays and hispanics and Muslims, and Jews will all know their places again and white, Christians will rule the country as God intended. That is the dumpster fire that the Republicans have started and onto which Trump is pouring gasoline.
The Harvard Republican Club for the first time in its history has come out and NOT endorsed the Republican Presidential candidate. They actually blasted Trump in an extremely well written, thoughtful statement denounced him as Unamerican and a danger to our economy and National and International security.
Speaker Ryan stood by his endorsement of Trump but didn’t rule out withdrawing it at some point in the future. “If I see a situation where our conservative principles are being distorted then I’m going to stand up for those conservative principles. If I see and hear things that I think are wrong I’m not going to sit by and say nothing, because I have a duty to defend principles and our party’s brand if I think they are being distorted.” -Ryan on why it is okay to claim dead soldiers and POWs are not worth our admiration and thanks. Trump responded to Ryan’s comments “You can get that baby out of here!” After Ryan’s mommy escorted him out because he was crying so loud.
Hmm, roughly half of gun deaths are suicides and the NRA and Repubicans don’t want any restrictions, they may be rethinking that when the party starts disappearing?
Of course, if Trump gets elected, modern buildings won’t see as many Republicans jumping out of tall buildings when they see what they have wrought, or rotted, as the case may be.
The Boehner/Pope thing immediately made me wonder if the pope chewed him out for his frequently un-Christian behavior as a Republican. (In one of Twain’s late works, he has a character tell another, “I can’t be a Christian, because I’d be so lonely.” Asked why, he says “I’d be the only one.”)

The Reason that Republicans love Trump is he makes all them look like reasonable, normal Human Beings. That is the really dangerous part.

Coverage of Trump was at first intended as comic relief. Now he’s relieving himself all over the place. (“Cut! Cut!!”)

First thing the new congressional Repubs will do would be to revise the primary process and go back to smoke filled rooms.

It is misleading only because Hillary will win in a landslide, giving her a false sense of gravitas.

The only difference between Trump and most of the Repub party is that Trump is being more open about his prejudices.
