I’ll take happy, hopey, uplifting changiness over The Rump any day.:Serious note: I saw parts of the DNC on TV; unlike the Reps, many of whom are denouncing their own candidate, the Dems have nothing to be ashamed of.
While we are focused on the candidates, I have begun to wonder who each might choose for his/her cabinet. Trump national security advisor: probably Attila the Hun. Secretary of Defense: Genghis Khan. Secretary of State for Thunder Thighs Clinton: maybe the ghost of Adlai Stevenson. (He put audiences to sleep in under 15 minutes.)
to Bob: I saw both conventions. The Rep form of barely controlled chaos is extremely worrisome, and the Dem form was very much in formula but passionless for the most part. So I believe Sherlock offered a reasoned opinion. To mike152 and dosqueen: whatever Bob’s opinion, gratuitous insults do not advance reasoned discourse, but serve instead to make common purpose much more difficult to achieve.
From the bottom of my heart..I would like to personally thank Donald Trump for creating the cosmic alignment of the stars that brought Berke back to the drawing board….there is a God…and she has a sense of humor….an odd, slightly bent sense of humor but a sense of humor neverthless…
Opus on the last panel echoes a line that he said on February 8, 1986. This was a significant day in Bloom County history as it would mark a nearly 2 month unintentional sabbatical for BB as he recovered from an ultralight aircraft accident.
