The rest of the court allows corporations to have a say in our elections. The Legislature won’t vote on the vacant seat. No conservative judge has recused himself from trials they, or their families, had dealing in. But this is the biggest threat to our democracy? What a joke. Yes he does because there is something they just came out with called the internet, where we can hear and watch Limbaugh’s show and see what the people who went on his show actually said. We don’t have to rely on you making something up for them.
No one is benefiting from the Citizen’s United decision except for the richest 1% among us. If this is not a threat, why are we still discussing it? What I said was, if you really want to get traction on this non-issue (as you say) is to link it to Clinton. It is time to think outside of the box. Scalia and Thomas participated in Koch-aligned groups fundraising (because justices stay non-political right?) and then helped to rule on the Citizen’s United case. Scalia did not recuse himself from a suit against VP Dick Cheney and they went on hunting trips together. There are more, but you don’t really want evidence or a list, do you.
