The cops WERE protecting the demonstrators in peaceful demonstration, and when it hit the fan, they continued to do their jobs. Dallas has long been improving their police force’s interaction with citizens, and it showed. While no place is the right place to open fire on police or anyone else, Dallas was totally wrong, and amazingly, Dallas is actually in Texas!
