It reminds me of “The Naming of Cats” by T.S. Eliot. He writes that cats have the name their owners give them, the name they give each other, and the one they call themselves. Based on how my sister’s cat treats me and her, our names are either “The Great Feeder,” “The Litter Box Cleaner,” or “He Who Must Sneeze in My Presence.”
