Feh. That dad’s an amateur. Any time someone is coming at you intending to tickle, all you need to do is focus on the fact that the tickle response is just a matter of fear tension and its release. In other words, someone is getting past your guard when they tickle you and when you consciously realize they aren’t doing harm, you laugh. To short circuit the laughter, just make a conscious point of recognizing that the tickler does not intend harm and – in the case of children – cannot harm you.
My kids thought I had UnderArmor on all the time. And they could never figure out why Mom could always get through it.
