Woman: I know it's hard for you to admit you're going bald, but after a day at the beach it's unavoidable. You're going to have to start smearing sunblock on your shiny little scalp. Man: It's that obvious? Woman: You look like a police car with a red light on top.

I was playing golf with a friend who was bald. Before we started I offered him some sunscreen for his head. He thought was being a wiseguy. By the 11th hole the top of his head was turning red and he asked to borrow some sunscreen.

Over time, multiple sunburns can cause skin cancer. It’s not just a funny line. Hate to be the buzz-kill, but twice annual visits to the dermatologist have made me an advocate.

Wouldn’t the sunscreen make the surrounding hair all greasy? Better to wear a cap.

Bill MartinIf comic strips don’t have some bearing on real life, what is their purpose? You sound like those who ridicule those of us who consider comics worthy of discussion.
