Boris was out of the picture yesterday already. Stabbed in the back by Gove. Just like how Boris stabbed the peoples of the UK. Meh. So much hard work all for naught. Well, not nothing, half. Half a divided country, half of a divided Kingdom.
Both Scotland and northern Ireland wanted to stay in the EU. This could mean the breakup of the UK. Separate from that, northern Ireland should never have been taken from Ireland.
Globalization and the Internet have changed business. Often it’s who has the fastest Internet connection that decides who gets the contract. It has been the US with its diverse population who have led the world in stable economy growth and technology not nationalist mono-cultures, in the past and could again. China’s rapid growth has tapered off and now with robots, automation and AI, being less expensive than manual labor, the Western countries could have the advantage if their workforce has the technical skills. The biggest problem is the patents and copyright agreements and treaties that impede progress and protect old money at the expense of future growth. Don’t think that a nation can isolate itself, or pick and choose who they are going to trade with and how they are going to do it.
Considering the near-instant backlash against Gove, Boris may come out of this fairly well yet..He’ll have to bide his time, but as long as he can avoid what figures to be a disaster of being on that negotiating committee that will never deliver what the yobs were voting for?.Just keep your fingerprints off any results, and Boris can go right back to thumbing his nose from the backbenches, inciting the same voters who put “Leave” over the cliff.
In contrast to you, when I make an error, the first thing I want to do is admit it, and try to rectify the situation. I respect those who sift through evidence at any point in any decision-making process to come up with a conclusion that fits the facts better. It takes no courage to push forward with views that are shown to be in error. It is a higher order of consciousness to admit error and seek truth. Lower orders of consciousness deny facts, compound error, refuse to admit it when they’re shown to be wrong, and allow confirmation bias to consistently and profoundly color their views. If you refuse to adapt to facts, they will often overwhelm you. As an adolescent, I used to be a libertarian. As I recognized the impossibility of libertarianism given its refusal to admit the importance of collaborative action for any society, I became a republican. Then, when shown repeatedly how maladapted the republicans were to confront the real challenges of the day, I became an independent. But I had to challenge my own beliefs aggressively to make that transition. So, no, “sticking to your guns” while shooting yourself in the foot is not evidence of a steadfast and reliable character. It is simply really stupid, and makes lots of folks lame when the gun blasts off one of their feet.
Sucks to be them, but if USians want to see idiots putting their prejudices ahead of their interests, look southward. It’s not limited to the south. It’s just less diluted.

Forget UK’s future. Boris Johnson doesn’t have a future.

So, will a Britain outside of the EU be RoHS compliant?
