Give ’em a break. They were sidetracked by the email server investigation.

The FBI investigated Omar Mateen twice before he killed 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. After a 10-month investigation three years ago, the FBI closed the case, finding no criminal charge to pursue. The relaxed gun laws of the state allow someone who has been investigated by the FBI to buy an assault weapon. So far the government does not see where it could have done anything different. This is not looking for the needle in the haystack. This is trying to figure out which pieces of hay are going to turn into needles. But it is so easy to buy a gun, even if the FBI had found something, would that have prevented him from buying a Second Amendment keeping assault rifle?

Of course the crime of being a lax Muslim was more than enough for Trump to send him for life to a “super max” prison. The questioning led to him having valid answers, and he was A SECURITY GUARD with a major company.

Even the FBI has protocols that say not everyone has to go to prison, but the NRA has seen to it that even the ones who fail the protocols for being dangerous, can still purchase high capacity firearms.

Mr. Payne,Exactly with what crime should he have been charged? For better or worse, we are still a country of laws.
