Now, THESE are one of those strips I’d buy framed! I like the border for this one! And Snoopy’s my favorite!

What was Snoopy waiting? Someone to carry him to the other side? If you don’t want to use your feet, buy a wheelchair… though you’ll have to move your arms anyway to move.

    Question…

Am I the only one who thinks the “Buttons” on those Traffic-Lights for Crossing don’t really do anything at all…??

It is the “don’t walk” that confuses me. Do I stop mid street?

Kind of like those drivers stopped at a stop sign, turn signal on, no cross traffic, just sitting there looking down at something in their hands…

Years ago, power equipment manufacturers started using “modular” carburetors on much of the products we sold, mostly on lawn mowers. These carbs were pre-calibrated and sealed at the factory. There were no adjustment screws for idle or high speed and they actually proved quite trouble free.

Unfortunately, some customers were angry when they couldn’t tweak the settings to “improve” the performance. In reality, they were better off if they didn’t “tweak” anything, but as Ron White so famously says, “You can’t fix stupid!”

After a couple years, OMC, the parent of Lawn Boy, added an “air bleed” screw to the side of the carb. There were basically only two settings; closed or open and when closed it prevented atmosphere from entering the carb float chamber and eventually the engine would starve because w/o atmosphere, no fuel would enter the float chamber.

Did this screw serve a purpose? Not really, but it did give those “tweaky” customers something to tweak…

Probably lasted long enough to get across the street when this came out.

ComicLass: What was Snoopy waiting? The instructions said to wait; it didn’t say to walk. THAT’S the joke. Get it now?
