and maybe the Electoral College will do the right thing and vote in the best candidate regardless of the general election. You know, to make up for the last time the did that and got it wrong with baby bush.
Really, Bennett? Bush was declared the victor in FL by, what, 500 votes? And in Duval County, the Supervisor of Elections threw out 27,000 votes, half of those in overwhelmingly black precincts.
In any case, if we didn’t have the vile practice of plurality victories, and simply used ranked-choice voting (not the crippled version that limits it to 3 rankings, but a ranking of all candidates on the ballot), this would be a non-event.
There have been people on the left who would like a much more liberal political system. They have been voting for Sanders and Naders and Kusinichs all along. This hasn’t really changed much this cycle.
Bernie has shown there’s still diversity in the party, but it’s dangerous to turn that totally into destructive division.
What’s far scarier is the supposed unanimity in the “support” for Trump the media would have us believe. When Republican power players that point out how crazy Trump and his ideas are, get assaulted in the media and threatened with tar and feathers by the minority, where is courage, or sanity?
