Anybody else remember the Cheerios commercial that featured the lyric “Feeling groovy, just had my Cheerios”? And of course “The Groovie Goolies”. Too bad the word “groovy” kind of fell out of fashion by about the late ’70s.

Perhaps he should come up with reasons to vote against whoever he’s running against…

at least snoopy has a characteristic this years candidates don’t have – hmm what else makes him a possible winner?-foreign affairs – ww1 pilot, shot down in france escaped german occupation, impressed a french girl who helped himsports hero – great shortstop and hitter plus dynamite on a football field (the mad punter too) also gave him insight into other species as well as several different ethnicity groupsimitator – can be a vulture, a sheep, a penguin, lucynegotiator – willing to arm wrestle to prove a point – and then kiss the nose of the opponent to break the stalematedancer and music lover – especially on top of schroeder’s pianodetective – can solve cases and problems like he did for woodstock. gets to the bottom of thingsgreat student – always wanting to attend school and is ‘joe cool’discrimination – experienced ‘no dog’s allowed’loyal – when lila (former owner) needed him he came runninggreat imagination – can lead to discovering new ways to do things that are better than what is being done-—————————————i’ll stop there but hmmmm – seeing as my vote will probably be wasted anyway – why not have it go for ……………………..

Well being kind of groovy is better than being kind of a drag.

I think Snoopy would make a GREAT pres. He only talks in thought balloons. It would be nice to have someone that doesn’t bloviate all the time.

The punchline could have had more of an impact on the strip overall.
