Violent crime is UP.” (he quotes FBI director J.B.Comey, and gives points of the rise in a few cities).“The middle class is shrinking. Businesses, especially factories and retail, are in trouble. The economy is barely growing.”-“The Gallup Poll this week found that only 36 of US adults say the economy ‘is getting better’, while 60% say it “is getting worse”…..-The author, Donald Lambro, gave 3 pages, printed, of facts and comparisons to better numbers (Reagan’s Economic Recovery).-Facts are facts, even if partisan Obama supporters deny them.

Lambro is an expert on economics. He uses Government statistics in his articles. Posters who criticize never give reliable “facts” in their debunking attempts.-Public opinion is an indicator especially in an election year, of how opinionated voters will vote for the D and R candidates.-And critics never go read the articles I give urls for.-You can Deny these FBI crime numbers….but violent crimes are UP in more than 2 dozen cities. In Chicago, homicides up 70% this year. Dallas, up 73.1%; Long Beach, California up 126%; Las Vegas, up 81.8 ; Newark, 60 higher.-The US Census last year reported that 46.7 million Americans were living in poverty. But in 1983, the number of people in poverty was 35.3 million. Numbers of Food Stamp recipients are record-high.-Government numbers= economic growth in 1983 was 5.6% for that 3rd quarter. Obama’s 1st quarter 2016 growth was 0.5%….following a previous 4th quarter of 1.4%. and that is an excellent and revealing comparison.Obama has had 7 years to stimulate the economy of this nation.-Obama’s 7 years the government’s statistics "have grown worse, a lot worse, under his slow-growth, anti-investment and anti-job policies. What new jobs have happened were mostly part-time and lower paid service type jobs. Check out Labor Department stats.

Thanks for telling us about the career choices YOU made for yourself. Now, liberals and progressives don’t expect “the government to provide” for Americans – they simply want the rich to play by the same rules as the rest of us.

I asked whether liberals and progressives are in favor of a flat-rate income tax.

The answer: “For starters …. Then, let’s talk!”

Was that a “yes” or a “no”?

I, for one, oppose a tax rate of 15% on both an individual who earns $40,000 and one who earns $4,000,000. This is not fair!

Are you saying that you don’t “simply want the rich to play by the same rules as the rest of us”?

I asked: "Are you saying that you don’t “simply want the rich to play by the same rules as the rest of us”?

You answered: “Gosh [and lots of words].”

Is that a long-winded way of saying “yes”?

Your assertion that liberals and progressives “simply want the rich to play by the same rules as the rest of us” was untrue?

    Satisfied now?

If you are admitting that liberals and progressives do not “simply want the rich to play by the same rules as the rest of us,” yes.

Perhaps living in the 21st Century is not as simple as you would like it.

I believe that is called a “non sequitur,” which seems to be a frequent habit among liberals and progressives.

And living in the past seems to be a favorite habit of conservatives.

I don’t know. I’m not a conservative. But here I am on the interwebs, spoutin’ off. I don’t remember such things in the past.
