OK, for all the morons out there who don’t get it: It is NOT the transgender person anyone worries about. It is the male PREDATOR who, now that this issue has been blasted all over the media, will take advantage of this situation to assault women when they are most vulnerable. OK? This is basic common sense. Or do you not believe in opportunistic predation? PREDATORS DO NOT WEAR IDENTIFICATION MARKS! If you have a wife, a mother, a sister, Nick, do you really want her walking into a washroom where a man is washing his hands, going into a stall and half undressing? Those stalls are not exactly Fort Knox. Geez! Where is my right to feel reasonably safe and secure??

Spent most of my working life in male dominated professiona. Often having to use bathrooms that were indeed for men. But when you gotta go, you go.

It’s not about sexual predators wanting to assault women…there is a law already against that…it’s about the homosexual agenda pushing the envelope to see how far liberalized idiots will accept going against logic…decency and propriety…and it’s working very well.

    Congratulations…you all fell for it…HAHAHAHA

IMO, the number of recorded transgender assault cases is Zero because until Obama’s Edict of 4/19/16 no authority recognized or investigated “transgender” offenses!-It is an invented and false terminology. Those persons with confusion about what “gender” they feel like, are suffering from a form of mental illness.-So, even if numbers cited by Anderson are correct for 2015, and I have no idea if they are correct, the point he is trying to make is false, deceiving and mere propaganda from the LGBT advocates trying to invent a new form of “civil rights discrimination” that is total evil and imaginary.

As a Texan? The sorry state of Texas Child Protective Services is a major scandal within the state itself, and reform is an even hotter topic than the transgender debate. Problem is, the national media doesn’t normally report on Texas CPS until such time as it suits their needs.

This whole “straight male pervert can pose as transgender” is complete hogwash. It the states and localities where transgender protections (and bathroom access) have been in effect for years, it has not happened. Why would you exaggerate such a pretext to “protect” someone from something that does not happen? And at the same time, expose transgender people to harassment, outing, and state sponsored discrimination? Prejudice, fear, and gut wrenching bigotry. If you must make up absurd reasons for your bigotry, then surely you can do better than this.

Here’s more of the same, very effective reasoning. But no one really expects the christofascists to be able to understand statistics.

Actually, hatred toward those who are different is fairly routine within christianity. Not too surprising for a religion founded on “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad” (Matthew 12.30).You don’t even have to look at the millennia of hatred against Jews and gays, or the centuries of hatred against blacks and Muslims, or the decades against atheists. Just look at the history of the relationships between protestant, catholic, and orthodox, or even between different protestant sects.

Very well stated.I haven’t read the book you mention, but have read Cantor’s The Civilization of the Middle Ages. Here are my two favorite quotes from the book:“The purpose of education, of thought—of life, even—is to clarify our ideas so we can develop knowledge instead of opinion.” (He got this from Plato)“No merchant ever lives at ease; he has for life enlisted in the war of gain, and never will acquire enough.” (He got this from the Romance of the Rose)
