I would make my kids take a jacket with them, but never make them wear it if they were comfortable without it. I’ve passed out more than once from being too hot, so know there is a physical danger from being overheated.
years ago a friends 1st child would be bundled up in the stroller and she would be in a sun dress. When she talked to the dr. he said like you feel. and she did she felt the kid needed to be bundled up.

I remember those days. That is why I never (well, hardly ever) made my kids wear a sweater or coat because I was cold.
