    I hope that is God pulling off the stars before he strikes the National Legal Sin Rebellion flag against His Holy Standard.God is Sovereign over earth and the universe.

    Apikoros, at least you believe in God’s Hell, the “holding place” until Judgment and sinners admitted to the Lake of Fire to be with Satan’s crowd for eternity.-The Bible’s God offers escape if a sinner admits sin and asks God’s Savior Jesus the Christ and Lord and King of this earth and the New Earth to come. I wish all posters would stop and think about eternity and choose Life with God who wants all sinners to be saved unto eternal life rather than remain in eternal death.

    Amazing how people who self-identify as Christians interpret the bible so differently, yet claim to have a common belief?And the same can be said of American interpreting the US constitution.

    thanks, martens, for your correct ID for me.but I long ago switched to reading Bible using human reason only. After I found Faith in God and His 100% truthful words,and after I understood that God did not make Mankind sinful, Satan led Adam to use the gift of freewill to choose to imitate Lucifer’s first sin in heaven, to sin and lose title to earth and put all the descendants of Adam under the curse of sin, physical death. God then saved Adam and Eve, signified by the animal pelt clothing to cover their nakedness. And God promised the Savior and the opportunity for all humans to put Faith in God and escape the curse of sin which is death.-Faith life is not “restricted” or “unhappy”….Faith in God’s promises (countless) gives assurance and the care and protections and provisions from God to his earthly family.-It is so much better and so much easier to endure the problems of this physical life under the curse of sin, when God assures those in the Faith of his moment by moment help and comfort. I wouldn’t undo my Faith for being offered “Queen of Earth” status for a limited time! I know that for those in the Faith, to be absent from this sinful body is to be present with Jesus in heaven and eternal life with God.I enjoy the good that God gives me and I rely on Him to take care of the evil deeds of those who reject God. I just want more sisters and brothers in Christ to share God’s blessings forever.

    It’s interesting to see an old woman who believes in Allah visiting Clay’s toon. The god who champions slavery. The god who condones the murder of children. The god who purports to tell us how to raise our kids but had to drown his own (B. Russell). The god who gives old women hope, terrifies children, and makes some men rich. What a god Allah is indeed.

    We don’t need bigotry and hatred we need unity and peace. Outdated ideas about a women’s place, a man’s skin color or someone’s sexual orientation have no place when we are all equal. We all have the right to enjoy this country, including a strong infrastructure so we can all give our maximum potential. We are as strong as the poor man on the street. we are as compassionate as the care we give to the elderly. it would be nice if the unity was coming from our leaders, but without them, it is up to us. There is a stripe in the rainbow for you, no matter what you wear, what your color, what your desires or pay scale. You don’t have to be male, female, black or white, this land IS your land and it is MY land. Maybe if we let go of some of these stars that can not seem to get in the 21st Century our country will be even better for it.

    Makes me feel sorry for the Republican Party. They would have filed a patent on hypocrisy – if Christians didn’t beat them to it.

    Does anyone care about the Comic here? It says there are states which value their discrimination against LGBT people more than they value being under the Constitutional Law of the United States. Why is it these same states which so often are at the bottom of education, civil rights, progress in general? I assume we are in this case talking about Tennessee (doctors can refuse to treat LGBT people if they want), Mississippi (anyone can claim to have “religious” feelings to refuse doing business with… almost anyone based on race, gender, sexuality etc), and North Carolina (all local LGBT ordinances null and void, no one can sue under state law for discrimination not even veterans, transgender people can’t legally or safely use ANY bathrooms…). It’s shameful to have to explain this to Europeans.

    I had not realized disgusted’s age, though I have felt sorry for her dilemma. Trapped by a narrative, too set in her ways to consider an escape, she revels in her blind faith. It must be wonderful to feel so certain. I would need to lie to myself to adopt such beliefs in the face of overwhelming contradictory evidence.

    Such religiosity can be either largely constructive (soup kitchens and the like) or destructive (e.g. fundamentalist Islam), depending on context. Disgusted’s attitudes seem mostly to constrict her own consciousness, and her posts are completely irrelevant to me in content, and tiresomely repetitive.

    @Baslim,Martens

    I try to treat everyone with respect and understand their reasoning, in spite of my personal experiences. In consulting, it is discouraging to note that more than half my clients, view technology, math, and physics as magic that has a tinge of evil to it … we’re not supposed to try to understand and explain everything.In the past, science, religion, and philosophy could traverse parallel paths without conflict. I wonder if the INTERNET, where fact and fantasy coexist uncatalogued, cause the confrontations?
