Better idea: Take the federal government out of the picture entirely. Education should be a local or state government issue.

All bathrooms should be unisex. Why should I have to label myself by picking a particular bathroom? If we remove labels from bathrooms, we also remove labels from people. And if that makes you uncomfortable or fearful, you should take care of business before leaving home.

Ooooh, it’s touching. I mean, seriously touching that a Republican cartoonist would invoke Federal education money as something they don’t fight against constantly.

Again, if you look at even the broadest assumptions, making every bit of rounding work for those making the “harm” argument, the odds are less than 1 in 15 BILLION of encountering a problem with someone who is or claims to be transgender in a public restroom. There is no reality to these claims, nor are these laws remotely enforceable without massive government overreach. It’s nonsense, nothing more.

You have no data on pretenders.

Wake me up when there’s actually a problem to be worried about.

It’s the most pathetic, transparent, disgusting pretense for a reason to discriminate in a century. Isn’t there a minority more vulnerable or harmless than the transgender people to bully and scapegoat? Can the bigots really really believe the shame they are heaping on themselves and their state? All this to “rally” their voting base one more time?

I think the problem is more about people who will pretend to be transgendered.

I have 1 simple question for NC politicians ? How would you even enforce such a silly law ? Will everyone be required to carry their birth certificate with them ? If they don’t have it are they simply barred entry to the restroom ? Will you have gender monitors at every public restroom in the state to ensure compliance ? It’s a stupid discriminatory law that should never have seen the light of day

You want to see all hell break loose, require that a female transgendered to male, complete with beard, suit and tie is required to use the women’s bathroom. Let her/him use the men’s bathroom and there is no problem.
