The protesters weren’t armed and that’s why they were successful. They also left when asked and didn’t do much damage. In 1992 Cheney said the US didn’t take out Saddam because that would destabilize the Middle East, leading to the chaos there today. -It isn’t just the deferments, it is combining them with starting unnecessary wars that create problems so Cheney could line his pockets with Halliburton money.
