Its’ been awhile since Fred stole sausages. He has to keep in practice.
Well he could hire Fred to be the sausage guard and pay Fred a Sausage a day. This way Fred would not nick the sausages !

Could always hire Dewey, Cheatham & Howe. Keep them on retainer.
