Young man, there’s no need to feel down. I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground. I said, young man, ‘cause you’re in a new town There’s no need to be unhappy.

Young man, there’s a place you can go. I said, young man, when you’re short on your dough. You can stay there, and I’m sure you will find Many ways to have a good time.

It’s fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A. It’s fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

They have everything that you need to enjoy, You can hang out with all the boys …

It’s fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A. It’s fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal You can do whatever you feel …

Young man, are you listening to me? I said, young man, what do you want to be? I said, young man, you can make real your dreams. But you’ve got to know this one thing!

No man does it all by himself. I said, young man, put your pride on the shelf, And just go there, to the Y.M.C.A. I’m sure they can help you today.

You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal, You can do whatever you feel …

Young man, I was once in your shoes. I said, I was down and out with the blues. I felt no man cared if I were alive. I felt the whole world was so jive …

That’s when someone came up to me, And said, young man, take a walk up the street. It’s a place there called the Y.M.C.A. They can start you back on your way.

It’s fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A. It’s fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

They have everything that you need to enjoy, You can hang out with all the boys …

perfect, just plain perfect. I cannot wait to visit the Islamic Multicultural Center that will be a block away from the hole in the ground that used to be two very tall skyscrapers.

You know, that building owned by a private person, his to do with as he wishes.

    Yeah, that one.

The one where the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States indicates that all citizens of the United States have the right to petition the government to address their greivances and that all citizens of the United States have the right to be unhindered by other citizens of the United States in observation of their specific religious believings. The 1st of what is known as the Bill of Rights.

The idea that people who claim to be citizens try to keep other citizens from exercizing their religious beliefs is absolutely sickening.

Important point- they own the land, are within the building codes and zoning rules- that’s all that matters. Two blocks away is also NOT ground zero. Would folks vote for a Christian cathedral to be built ON ground zero?? It was proposed.

You don’t know? It’s because you have the right to do so, not the government. It’s the people, stupid. Go do it churchill, and those same government officials will protect your right to do so.

Jon Stewart (paraphrased): Just because they can build a mosque at ground zero doesn’t mean they should. Similarly, just because they can build a Catholic church next to a playground doesn’t mean they should
