To be fair, I don’t think anyone ever built a single decent clock radio.
It may be beyond the scope of mankind.
I still use an old GE clock radio I bought in 1977. Works fine.
It’s a question of priorities.
There are some long lasting Russian cameras, Soviet era. You know when the picture was taken
