I’ve learned to have a sense of humor about my appearance. I’m not that pretty, I’m very short, and for the last few years, a little overweight. Thankfully I also retain somewhat of a youthful appearance. One time a well-meaning young woman approached me and asked, “Are you pregnant?” I just smiled sweetly and said, “Nope…just fat.” The fact that she thought that I COULD be pregnant at my age was somewhat of a compliment!
