Actually sports leagues have extended seasons to make a lot more money for the franchises and the leagues. Although in the case of the NBA and NHL, not many people care anyway. And baseball has been the same length since 1961.

Not sure they were playing World Series games in November back in 1961. There were no league playoffs then. And as for Grizzlies in Memphis, nothing to worry about. They’re usually back in hibernation by the end of April.

At the 1st panel I was wondering what kind of sport was played in Yuma. Indoor, obviously.

Bucky is being helpful? He insults Satchel, sure, but he’s imparting correct knowledge without an agenda. A rare event for him.

I guess, the Grizzlies keeping that name after moving from Vancouver (which might actually have a grizzly bear in the vicinity) makes about as much sense as the Lakers keeping that name after moving from Minneapolis.
