@Baslim the beggar: Who told you bumblebees (“humble bees” in your language) don’t have stings? I’ve been stung twice by them, and you can easily confirm they have stings online. However, being primitive bees they don’ have barbed stings, so the stings don’t get stuck in the target and the bee doesn’t rip its intestine out like honeybee workers (and only honeybee workers) do.

Bees only die stinging mammals, you know… The sting works perfectly well on other insects.

Pretty sure a mere leaf wouldn’t kill it, especially instantly. I was expecting Anansi to trick the bee into stinging the web.
