Hillary was inevitable a year ago, when the super delegates agreed to endorse her. Sanders just won eight of the last nine states, and the super delegates won pledged to support Hillary are going to be risking their own jobs if they continue to support her against the will of the people in their state. The super delegates are the only ace she currently has in the hole.
She can no longer say that she will beat the Republicans, Sanders scores 5-10 points higher than she does against all of the ones still in the race. They both beat Trump and Cruz, but Kasich loses to Sanders and beats Hillary.
The super delegates don’t want a Republican in the White House, so they are going to choose the candidate most likely to keep that from happening, and that candidate is Bernie Sanders.
