Its original name was gravicembalo col piano e forte. Over the years, it was shortened to pianoforte and then just piano.
I would have thought Schroder the really smart one when it comes to the piano. But Charlie Brown shows his musical knowledge here. Wonder if Schroder wishes he had a fortepiano like the one his idol wrote his early pieces on.
CB should take the piano and build a fort out of the scrap lumber…
